On Sep 27, 2017, The Korea Times published an article covering the World Mission Society Church of God’s beliefs and awards, including its worldwide volunteer services. The Korea Times is one of the largest newspaper companies in Korea, producing one of the most influential and oldest English daily newspaper in Korea1). It reported that the Church of God has been growing by “leaps and bounds” despite the decreasing number of Christians worldwide. Church that Believes in God the Mother
The existence of God the Mother is one of the core beliefs of the Church of God. The church not only believes in God the Father but God the Mother according to the Bible. As Church of God is the only church that believes in God the Mother, it is no surprise that many people are astounded by Her existence. Though religion has always been a sensitive topic, it is with great privilege that God the Mother, the core truth of the Church of God was published in The Korea Times.
Worldwide Volunteer Services
In regard to the Presidential Citation awarded to the Church of God in 2015, the Korea Times emphasised that it was “exceptional for a religious organization to receive the Presidential Group Citation, the best award for a group”. This award is only given to the most outstanding organizations performing beneficent acts for the society. The Church of God not only conducts volunteer services in Korea but also throughout the world. For this reason, the church was invited to the UN CERF High-Level Conference held at the UN Headquarters in New York, U.S. Being the first time for a church to be invited, the Korea Times commended that it was “because the UN highly appreciated the Church of God’s sincere volunteer services.”
The Only Church that Keeps the New Covenant Passover
Among numerous churches in the world, the Korea Times highlighted that the Church of God is “the only church that keeps the New Covenant Passover according to the Bible”. The Church of God keeps the Passover every year, one of the seven feasts of God that ought to be observed annually, following the teachings of the Bible and Jesus’ example.
The article concluded by quoting General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol, “The Passover is God’s precious gift to mankind. We wish all people to keep the Passover and receive the blessings from God the Father and God the Mother.” The Church of God strives to share the love of God the Mother throughout the whole world and invites all mankind to keep the New Covenant Passover.
