Bible Seminar—Heaven and Passover II

On February 25, 2018, the World Mission Society Church of God Singapore (SGWMSCOG) held a Bible seminar entitled “Heaven and Passover”. As the Passover was around the corner, members of the church invited their friends and family members to the seminar, with the hope that they would be able to keep the feast of God together.

Heaven and Passover

Just as leaves fall down being blown by the wind, our life is an empty dream like fallen leaves. Many try to search the meaning of life, being tied to the pressures of life and ultimately face death. However, there is something important hidden in our lives. The Bible teaches us that death means “to return” to heaven (Ecclesiastes 12:7). To return means to go back to where you came from, showing we must have come from heaven. Jesus taught us that we were cast down to this earth due to our sins (Luke 19:10, Matthew 9:13). In order for us to return to heaven, Jesus established the New Covenant Passover to give us the forgiveness of our sins.

Matthew 26:17-19,26-28 … the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?”… So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover … While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

In other words, the Passover is the way to return to heaven. Unlike on earth, the kingdom of heaven is a place where there is no death, mourning or pain (Revelation 21:4). Short videos explaining the immeasurable size of the universe and probable existence of multiverse were also played during the seminar. The kingdom of heaven beyond our imagination definitely exists.

Guest’s Sentiments

“I am marveled at the sheer size of the universe, using light-year to express astronomical distances between planets and galaxies. There definitely exists another world out there, of which human cannot fathom, and I feel it is right to say, it is the kingdom of God. I hope to study more about the Passover and the way to heaven,” said Esther Wang, 21.

The Church of God sincerely invites everyone to observe the Passover and to return to our heavenly home.
