PHC Appreciation 2018
July 5, 2018
On July 2018 representatives from the World Mission Society Church of God Singapore (SGWMSCOG) attended an award ceremony held by the Public Hygiene Council (PHC) Singapore. Along with a select group of individuals and organisations, SGWMSCOG received a Certificate of Appreciation for the volunteer efforts towards keeping Singapore clean. The certificate was presented by Mr Edward D’Silva, Chairman Public Hygiene Council.
SGWMSCOG carried out various cleanup activities in partnership with PHC in 2018. Cleanup activities included beach cleanups, street cleanups and notably the 53rd National Day Parade Cleanup where volunteers dedicated their time for the community in the midst of the celebratory occasion. In PHC’s quest towards making Singapore a clean city, as opposed to a cleaned city, the cleanup activities centers on spreading messages such as “Keep SG Clean” or “Bin it Right” suggesting that a clean environment starts from the individual. The volunteer force acts as an example to spur our community by going ahead to clean up public areas.
Members of SGWMSCOG are always happy and quick to give to their neighbours and communities. Their grins come from the contentment of giving and more so for the privilege of following in the example of God the Father and God the Mother who gives everything for Their children. We thank God Elohim for this award and will continue to be the salt and light of the world to bring glory to Them.
