Christ Ahnsahnghong: God’s Coming From the East

According to the Prophecy of The Bible

About 700 years before Jesus was born on this earth, the prophet Micah foretold His birthplace in the Old Testament.

Micah 5:2 But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.

Two thousand years ago, Christ was born in Bethlehem. Many events in Jesus’ life were fulfillment of prophecies from the Old Testament scriptures. Thus, it is important to examine the prophecies in the Bible carefully to recognize the Savior and receive salvation.

Just as the Bible foretells the location of Jesus’ coming to Bethlehem, it also tells the location of His second coming.

Hebrews 9:28 …he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Since the purpose of His second coming is to bring salvation, the starting point of the work of salvation is the location of His second coming.

The Man that brings Salvation from the East

In order to find this location, we need to find out where the work of salvation begins. The scriptures of the Old Testament prophesied that the Savior will appear from the east to bring salvation.

Isaiah 46:10-13 I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand,and I will do all that I please.’ From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do… I am bringing my righteousness near, it is not far away: and my salvation will not be delayed…

In the Bible, a bird of prey (an eagle) represents God (Deuteronomy 32:11-12). This was a prophecy that God will come as a man, from a land far away from Israel in the east. The prophecy does not refer to Jesus coming the first time as He was born within Israel, in Bethlehem.

Last Work of Salvation Begins From the East

The scriptures of the New Testament prophesies that the work of salvation starts from the east.

Revelation 6:12-13, 7:1-3 I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind…After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree. Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: “Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.”

The four angels would release four winds from the four corners of the earth which harms the earth. Since this is a disaster that will cover all corners of the earth, it would be the last disaster that people would face.

Another angel who had the seal of the living God comes up from the east. Those who received the seal of God on their foreheads will be saved from the last disaster. This work of putting a seal is the last work of salvation that God carries out to save His people on the earth before the last disaster comes upon mankind.

The work of putting a seal is carried out during the time of Jesus’ second coming. We can understand this through a special sign which accompanies God’s work of putting a seal.

This special sign is seen at Jesus’ second coming in Matthew 24.

Matthew 24:29-31 Immediately after the distress of those days “the sun will be darkened,and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’“Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

This special sign from the sun, moon, and stars is the same sign in Revelation 6 that occurred before the four winds of the earth were released (Revelations 6:12-13).

In Revelation 7, the work of putting a seal to save people begins after the special sign occurs.

In Matthew 24, Jesus comes again to do the salvation work after the special sign occurs.

The prophecy in Revelation 7 about the work of putting a seal before the last disaster refers to Jesus fulfilling the work of salvation when he comes a second time in Matthew 24.

As the last work of salvation begins from the east, Jesus who comes a second time to bring salvation must appear from the east.

The Seal of God appears from the East

When Apostle John wrote the book of Revelations, he was on the Island of Patmos (Revelation 1:9) and the prophet Isaiah prophesied about the Savior whilst he was in Israel. Considering both Apostle John and Prophet Isaiah’s points of origin, Jesus will come again from a far-off land east of Patmos and Israel with the seal of God to fulfill the last work of salvation.

The seal of God refers to the New Covenant Passover. Thus, the location of Jesus’ second coming is the location where the New Covenant Passover appears.

The truth of the Passover has been abolished since a long time ago (see Passover: Changed in History for more details). However, Christ Ahnsahnghong restored the Passover and started to preach it in Korea from 1948. As the truth of the Passover appeared in Korea, the location in the east refers to Korea.
