The Most Beautiful Place
December 26, 2016
What is the most beautiful place to you? Are there any places you would really love to visit? Any “must visit” places in your bucket list?
Could it be the Fairy Pools on the Isle of Skye Scotland, the beautifully crystal clear blue pools on the River Brittle at foot of the Black Cuillins near Glenbrittle?
Or Neuschwanstein, a nineteenth-century castle in southern Germany, known as the “fairytale castle”, located in the Alps in Bavaria with a magnificent landscape?
Or is it the northern lights of Iceland, blazing in a wild and multi-coloured dance across the Arctic sky, appearing in a variety of colours and intensity?
Or something unique, like a city of water—Venice—built on 118 small islands, unlike any city in the world?
These popular tourist spots are simply breath-taking. Some people save up money their whole lives to travel thousands of miles to see these places.
For those who love God, God has prepared the most beautiful place for them. It is an unimaginable place that human minds are unable to fathom—Heaven, the kingdom of God. As it is written:
1 Corinthians 2:9 However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” — the things God has prepared for those who love him—
Then, who are the people who love God? Jesus mentioned in the gospel of John,
John 14:15 If you love me, keep my commands.
John 14:23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.
The teachings and commands of God can be found in the Bible. Worshiping God on the Sabbath Day (7th day of the week, Saturday) is a commandment of God. Keeping the Passover of the New Covenant once a year, is also taught by Jesus. Those who truly love God, follow the commandments given by God. They are the ones worthy to enter kingdom of heaven, the most beautiful place.
