Existence of the Spiritual Mother Revealed in the Creation of Living Things

God reveals the existence of our Spiritual Mother, namely, God the Mother in the creation of living things. All living things on this earth with flesh and blood have parents; a father and a mother. These living things are given life through the body of their mothers. We, human beings, also have our physical life given by our physical mothers.

Similarly, the Bible tells us that our spiritual life is given by our Spiritual Mother, God our Mother. We can find out the existence of God the Mother in detail when we look into the words of the Bible. The Bible explains that God created things on earth with a purpose.

“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”

Revelation 4:11

The Bible says God created all things by God’s own will. It further tells us the purpose of God’s creation work.

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Romans 1:20

It says that we can see and understand the invisible qualities of God. God expresses his divine nature in what was created. God created these things that are visible to us so that we can understand God who is invisible without any doubt. Animals with flesh and blood such as mammals all have fathers and mothers. Even the animals that lay eggs such as birds, fishes, reptiles and amphibians have fathers and mothers. This is the same for human beings. Likewise, our spirits have spiritual parents, that is, God the Father and God the Mother.

We can find more details about God’s nature when we look into the creation of mankind.

Existence of God the Mother Revealed in the Creation of Mankind

When God created the heavens and the earth in Genesis, God also created Adam and Eve. God specifically created Adam and Eve using God’s own image and likeness.

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

Genesis 1:26

We can see the outcome of God’s creation in the next verse.

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Genesis 1:27

Mankind was created in God’s image and likeness. Thus, through the image and likeness of God, male and female were eventually created. God showed us Their divine nature through the process of creating man and woman. God showed both the male image and the female image. The Bible testifies that the male image of God is to be called “Father” (Matthew 6:9) and it also testifies that the female image of God is called “Mother” (Galatians 4:26). For ages, believers of the Bible have thought that God existed only as a male and called God “God the Father”. Nevertheless, God showed that God our Mother also existed through the creation of female. The existence of God the Mother is clear and easy to understand through the Bible’s testimonies and God’s creation of living things.

Process of Childbirth Emphasises the Role of God the Mother

We can understand God’s divine nature further in the process of childbirth. God designated that the mother’s role was to carry a new life and ultimately give birth to it. God designed this process to show that life is given by the mother at the last phase. Correspondingly, the Bible testifies that we are ultimately given spiritual life, namely, eternal life in the last days when God the Mother appears.

One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.

Revelation 21:9-10

The Book of Revelation written by Apostle John describes what will happen in the last days (Revelation 1:19). The Bible shows us that the Bride, called the Jerusalem from Heaven, will come down to earth in the last days. This Jerusalem from Heaven refers to the Mother of God’s people who are to be saved.

But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.

Galatians 4:26

“Our” in the verse above refers to the people of God. Apostle Paul testified that the people of God have the Jerusalem that is in Heaven as their Mother. God the Mother, namely, the Bride will appear on earth in the last days (Revelation 21:10). The reason that She appears in the last days is to give the water of life.

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

Revelation 22:17

The Bible says that the Bride, the Heavenly Jerusalem—God the Mother, with the Spirit, will give the water of life. Similar to physical mothers who go through childbirth as the last phase of life-giving, God the Mother also gives spiritual life to Her children in the last days. God’s people who believe the Bible must definitely understand and believe in God the Mother for their salvation.

The Mystery of Melchizedek

We found out that Jesus Christ came to fulfill the prophecy of Melchizedek in the article “Who is Melchizedek”, the priest of God whom appeared in the Old Testament times. Exploring further into the characteristics of Melchizedek in the book of Hebrews, we can find a mystery about him.

This Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of God Most High. He met Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him, and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. First, the name Melchizedek means “king of righteousness”; then also, “king of Salem” means “king of peace”. Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, resembling the Son of God, he remains a priest forever.

Hebrews 7:1-3

About two thousand years ago when Jesus came as the high priest in the order of Melchizedek, there were some prophetical points about Melchizedek that were not completely fulfilled by Jesus:

Melchizedek

i) ‘Without father or mother’

The Bible indicates that Melchizedek was “without father or mother”. However, is there anybody who is born without parents? In Jesus’ spiritual perspective, only those who do the will of God are regarded as parents or family members.

While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.” He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

Matthew 12:46-50

For Melchizedek to be “without father or mother” implies that Jesus must be born to parents who did not do the will of God nor have faith in God. However, Jesus was born of Joseph and Mary who were both believers. Thus, Jesus did not fulfill being ‘without father or mother’.

ii) ‘Without genealogy’

There is nobody on earth who does not belong to a genealogy³. In the Bible, genealogy refers to the genealogy of Israel. The genealogy of Jesus Christ can be found at the beginning of the book of Matthew since he was a descendant of Abraham.

³ A line of descent traced continuously from an ancestor

This is the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah the son of David, the son of Abraham: Abraham was the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob… Matthan the father of Jacob, and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah.

Matthew 1:1-16

Jesus clearly belongs to the genealogy of Israel. However, Melchizedek is to be ‘without genealogy’. Thus, Jesus Christ cannot be said to be ‘without genealogy’.

iii) ‘Without beginning of days or end of life’

God the Almighty Creator is described as the only being who is without beginning of days or end of life. To be “without beginning of days or end of life” implies that the priest who comes in the order of Melchizedek must be God Himself. Jesus who came as the Christ is God Himself who brought out bread and wine and established the Passover for the forgiveness of sins.

However, he is neither ‘without father or mother’ nor ‘without genealogy’. This was why it was hard to explain Melchizedek in the time of the early church. In order to fulfill all the prophecies of Melchizedek, there are prophecies regarding the second coming of Jesus Christ.

The Second Coming of Jesus

so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Hebrews 9:28

The Bible prophesies that Christ will appear a second time. When He comes again, He must fulfill all the prophetical points about Melchizedek – to be born of parents who are unbelievers and not to be listed in the Hebrew genealogy. As the high priest in the order of Melchizedek, he must present bread and wine to grant blessings, which is to establish the New Covenant Passover as Jesus did. The one who does this is none other that God Himself, who is ‘without beginning of days or end of life’.

The Passover of the new covenant which Jesus established was abolished in A.D. 325 (see Passover: Changed in History for more details). However, Christ Ahnsahnghong restored the truth of the Passover again in this age. The one who fulfilled the prophecy regarding Melchizedek completely is Christ Ahnsahnghong.

Christ Ahnsahnghong was born in Korea and is not listed in the genealogy of Israel. He was also born to parents who are unbelievers. Most distinctively, he brought the sign of Melchizedek, blessing with bread and wine — the  Passover of the new covenant to bless mankind with the forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

Please receive the prophetical Melchizedek who appears in this last age. Come to the World Mission Society Church of God to keep the New Covenant Passover established by the prophetical Melchizedek, Christ Ahnsahnghong!

Category Bible Study>Bible Study>Second Coming Christ Who is Melchizedek?

A Biblical Figure – Melchizedek

It is written that there will be a priest who will carry out his priesthood in the order¹ of Melchizedek in the book of Psalms. In all sixty-six books of the Bible, Melchizedek was mentioned thrice.

The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.”

Psalms 110:4

¹ Order means a way in which a thing is done; an arrangement; a manner

In the New Testament, the writer of the book of Hebrews revealed that he had much to say about Melchizedek.

We have much to say about this, but it is hard to make it clear to you because you no longer try to understand. In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

Hebrews 5:11-14

At the stage of the early Church, it was difficult to have complete knowledge and understanding of Melchizedek. Melchizedek was first mentioned in the book of Genesis.

Melchizedek, a Priest of God.

After Abram returned from defeating Kedorlaomer and the kings allied with him, the king of Sodom came out to meet him in the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley). Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, and he blessed Abram, saying, “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth. And praise be to God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand. Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

Genesis 14:17-20

Melchizedek was a priest of God who appeared in the time of Abraham², who blessed Abraham with bread and wine. In return, Abraham then presented Melchizedek with a tenth of everything.

² ‘Abram’ here is the former name of Abraham (Genesis 17:3-5).

In the Old Testament times, it was a common ritual for priests to offer animals’ blood to God when they were granted blessings, received forgiveness or established a covenant with God. However, unlike all the other priests in the old testament times, Melchizedek blessed Abraham with bread and wine.

The Reality of Melchizedek

The Old Testament is a shadow of the New Testament. The Old Testament contains prophecies to be fulfilled in the New Testament (Hebrews 10:1). Just as Melchizedek blessed Abraham with bread and wine, there is also a high priest in the order of Melchizedek who will appear to bless us with bread and wine.

On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?” He replied, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’” So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover… While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

Matthew 26:17-19, 26-28

During the Passover feast, Jesus brought out bread and wine to bless His disciples with the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. This was different from the existing Jewish priests who carried out blessings by animal sacrifice (Mark 14:12). Jesus was the priest who blessed with bread and wine in the order of Melchizedek, fulfilling the prophecy in the old covenant.

Let us confirm that Jesus is the reality of Melchizedek.

During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.

Hebrews 5:7-10

The author of Hebrews had insight that Jesus came as the high priest in the order of Melchizedek. However, there were some prophetical points about Melchizedek that were not completely fulfilled by Jesus. We will explore this in the next article – The Mystery of Melchizedek.

Category Bible Study>Bible Study>Second Coming Christ The Last Adam and Christ

The first man whom God breathed life into was Adam. Adam disobeyed God and ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil causing death to mankind (Romans 5:12). Contrastingly, the Bible mentions about the last Adam whom will give life to mankind.

So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven.

1 Corinthians 15:45-47

While the world was condemned to death through the first Adam, the role of the last Adam is to grant life to mankind as the life-giving spirit.

Who is the last Adam?

Still, everyone died—from the time of Adam to the time of Moses—even those who did not disobey an explicit commandment of God, as Adam did. Now Adam is a symbol, a representation of Christ, who was yet to come.

Romans 5:14 (NLT)

The Apostle Paul wrote in the book of Romans that Adam represents Jesus Christ. Hence, the last Adam represents Jesus who is to appear in the last days, that is, the Second Coming Christ.

How does the last Adam give life?

Let us see how the last Adam gives life at the last day as the life-giving spirit.

Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.

John 6:53-54

Whoever eats the flesh and drinks the blood of Christ has eternal life, being raised up at the last day. Before Jesus was crucified, he showed his disciples the way to eat His flesh and drink His blood.

Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.”… And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

Luke 22:7-8, 19-20

This is the scene of the Passover in the new covenant. Jesus referred to the Passover bread as his body, and the Passover wine as his blood. Before His death on the cross Jesus shared the bread and wine on the Passover which symbolises Christ’s flesh and blood. Thus, the way for us to receive life at the last day is to keep the Passover of the new covenant.

The Second Coming Christ

The last Adam is Jesus, who comes a second time to the earth to save humankind who is bound to death. He must bring the Passover of the new covenant that gives life at the last day.In A.D. 325, the Passover that Jesus established before his death was abolished through the Council of Nicaea and the knowledge of this truth gradually disappeared (see Passover: Changed in History for more details).

According to the prophecies of the Bible, Christ Ahnsahnghong brought the truth of the Passover again and restored it. He has come according to the prophecy of the last Adam in order to give eternal life to mankind, who were bound to death.

Jesus explained that the scriptures of the Bible testifies to the Savior, namely, the Christ. He also explained that the Christ is the one that gives eternal life.

You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.

John 5:39-40

Category Bible Study>Bible Study>Second Coming Christ The Tree of Life and Christ

Have you heard of the ‘Tree of Life’? No, it is not the film starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn.

In the garden of Eden, there is the tree of life, which could remedy the death situation Adam and Eve landed themselves in. While this anecdote remains a parable and even a myth to many, the tree of life is actually a shadow of the salvation God has prepared for mankind. None of us can escape the claws of death. To find the solution to this problem, let us first trace the origin of death.

Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable. So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet: “I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world.”

Matthew 13:34-35

Jesus said that there are things hidden in parables since the creation of the world. It is only the book of Genesis that narrates the scene of God’s creation of the world.

Origin of Death

The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Genesis 2:9

There were many trees in the Garden of Eden where Adam and Eve lived, which fruits they were allowed to eat with an exception – the tree of knowledge of good and evil. God gave them this command; never to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden;  but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

Genesis 2:16-17

If Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, God said that they will certainly die. However, Adam and Eve were deceived by the serpent and violated this commandment of God by eating the fruit from the forbidden tree (Genesis 3:6-7). This is the origin of death. Henceforth, human beings were bound to die (Romans 5:12). Then, is there a solution to death just as in the garden of Eden?

Tree of Life

And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.”So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

Genesis 3:22-24

In the Garden of Eden, there was also the tree of life. Though having sinned, if Adam and Eve were to eat from the fruit of the tree of life, they could live forever. Those who sinned will not face death but be granted eternal life if they ate the fruit from the tree of life. However, God blocked the way to it with cherubim (angels) and flaming sword.

God blocked the way to the tree of life and only God has the Authority to open the way to it.

As the tree of life in Genesis is a parable, we need to find out the reality of the tree of life.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

John 10:10

Jesus explained that his purpose was to bring life to mankind. This means that the way to the tree of life will be opened again. Let us find out how Jesus opened the way of life for mankind; this is the reality of the tree of life.

Passover of the New Covenant

Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.

John 6:53-54

Jesus said that whoever eats His flesh and drinks His blood has eternal life. Jesus’ flesh and blood is the reality of the tree of life. How can we eat Jesus’ flesh and drink His blood? On the night before Jesus was crucified, He explained this.

On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?” … The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’” So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover... While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

Matthew 26:17-19, 26-28

Jesus declared that the Passover bread was His body, and the Passover wine was His blood. Thus, the reality of the tree of life is the Passover of the new covenant. As God is the only one who can open the way to the tree of life, God came as a man in Jesus Christ to open the way of life for mankind.

Second Coming Christ

In A.D. 325, the truth of the Passover was abolished through the Council of Nicaea and the knowledge of this truth gradually disappeared (see Passover: Changed in History for more details). As such, the way to eternal life was lost once again. It is only God Himself who can restore the way to the tree of life.

so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Hebrews 9:28

The Bible prophesied that Christ will appear a second time to bring salvation. For mankind to receive salvation, they need the reality of the tree of life, which is the Passover of the new covenant. Christ must come again just as He did the first time in order to restore the truth of the Passover.

Christ Ahnsahnghong restored the Passover and started to preach from 1948. Before this, the truth of the Passover was not kept on the earth for a long time since its abolishment. Christ Ahnsahnghong is the Second Coming Christ who has appeared according to the prophecies of the Bible. He fulfills the purpose of bringing salvation by restoring the truth of the Passover. Category Bible Study>Bible Study>Second Coming Christ Christ Ahnsahnghong: God’s Coming From the East

According to the Prophecy of The Bible

About 700 years before Jesus was born on this earth, the prophet Micah foretold His birthplace in the Old Testament.

But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.

Micah 5:2

Two thousand years ago, Christ was born in Bethlehem. Many events in Jesus’ life were fulfillment of prophecies from the Old Testament scriptures. Thus, it is important to examine the prophecies in the Bible carefully to recognize the Savior and receive salvation.

Just as the Bible foretells the location of Jesus’ coming to Bethlehem, it also tells the location of His second coming.

…he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Hebrews 9:28

Since the purpose of His second coming is to bring salvation, the starting point of the work of salvation is the location of His second coming.

The Man that brings Salvation from the East

In order to find this location, we need to find out where the work of salvation begins. The scriptures of the Old Testament prophesied that the Savior will appear from the east to bring salvation.

I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’ From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do… I am bringing my righteousness near, it is not far away: and my salvation will not be delayed…

Isaiah 46:10-13

Calling a bird of prey from the east, The man of My purpose from a far country.. (NASB)

Isaiah 46:11

In the Bible, a bird of prey (an eagle) represents God (Deuteronomy 32:11-12). This was a prophecy that God will come as a man, from a land far away from Israel in the east. The prophecy does not refer to Jesus coming the first time as He was born within Israel, in Bethlehem.

Last Work of Salvation Begins From the East

The scriptures of the New Testament prophesies that the work of salvation starts from the east.

I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind…After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree. Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: “Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.”

Revelation 6:12-13, 7:1-3

The four angels would release four winds from the four corners of the earth which harms the earth. Since this is a disaster that will cover all corners of the earth, it would be the last disaster that people would face.

Another angel who had the seal of the living God comes up from the east. Those who received the seal of God on their foreheads will be saved from the last disaster. This work of putting a seal is the last work of salvation that God carries out to save His people on the earth before the last disaster comes upon mankind.

The work of putting a seal is carried out during the time of Jesus’ second coming. We can understand this through a special sign which accompanies God’s work of putting a seal.

I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind…

Revelation 6:12-13

This special sign is seen at Jesus’ second coming in Matthew 24.

Immediately after the distress of those days “the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’“Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

Matthew 24:29-31

This special sign from the sun, moon, and stars is the same sign in Revelation 6 that occurred before the four winds of the earth were released (Revelations 6:12-13).

In Revelation 7, the work of putting a seal to save people begins after the special sign occurs.

In Matthew 24, Jesus comes again to do the salvation work after the special sign occurs.

The prophecy in Revelation 7 about the work of putting a seal before the last disaster refers to Jesus fulfilling the work of salvation when he comes a second time in Matthew 24.

As the last work of salvation begins from the east, Jesus who comes a second time to bring salvation must appear from the east.

The Seal of God appears from the East

When Apostle John wrote the book of Revelations, he was on the Island of Patmos (Revelation 1:9) and the prophet Isaiah prophesied about the Savior whilst he was in Israel. Considering both Apostle John and Prophet Isaiah’s points of origin, Jesus will come again from a far-off land east of Patmos and Israel with the seal of God to fulfill the last work of salvation.

The seal of God refers to the New Covenant Passover. Thus, the location of Jesus’ second coming is the location where the New Covenant Passover appears.

The truth of the Passover has been abolished since a long time ago (see Passover: Changed in History for more details). However, Christ Ahnsahnghong restored the Passover and started to preach it in Korea from 1948. Since then, He has established the World Mission Society Church of God which keeps the truth of the Passover and continues to preach it to the whole world. As the truth of the Passover appeared in Korea, the location in the east refers to Korea.

Christ Ahnsahnghong is the Second Coming Christ who has appeared in the east from Korea according to this prophecy. He fulfils the purpose of bringing salvation by restoring the truth of the Passover. Please visit the World Mission Society Church of God to receive the truth that leads to salvation!

The Holy Bible consists of God’s words spoken through different prophets in various ages. On the other hand, science is the body of knowledge of the physical and natural world obtained through observation and experiment. Let’s see some examples where the Bible preceded science in the knowledge of the natural world.

The Earth

Ancient Beliefs

During the bronze age (3000 B.C. – 1200 B.C.) ancient civilisations had different theories about the earth. The Egyptians believed that the earth was Geb and the sky, Nut, whereas in Hindu mythology, it was believed that the world was supported on top of the World Turtle.

Scientific Proof

In our modern era, most of humankind have come to a consensus that the earth is suspended in space instead of being supported by anything. This scientific fact was proven after Sir Isaac Newton discovered the “law of universal gravitation” in the 17th century.

Biblical Record

He spreads out the northern skies over empty space; he suspends the earth over nothing

Job 26:7

The author of this book of Job existed about 3,000 years ago. It was a time when advancement in science and technology had yet to reach a point when men could observe and make conclusive facts about the earth.

The Water Cycle

Ancient Beliefs

3,500 years ago, people interpreted rain to be an expression of god crying or blessings for harvest. As such, they even held rituals to pray for rain or to appease the gods. In this day and age, it is apparent to us that precipitation is but one of the processes of the water cycle also known as the hydrologic cycle.

Scientific Proof

The idea of a complete water cycle was not generally accepted until the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The first substantial evidence of the water cycle came from experiments of Pierre Perrault and Edme Mariotte.

Biblical Record

He draws up the drops of water, which distill as rain to the streams; the clouds pour down their moisture and abundant showers fall on mankind.

Job 36:27-28

This was written by Job about 3,000 years ago when mankind had not a single clue about the water cycle.

The Bible’s prophecies also preceded important events that happened in history.

King Cyrus

This is what Cyrus king of Persia says: “The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and he has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah. Any of his people among you may go up to Jerusalem in Judah and build the temple of the Lord, the God of Israel, the God who is in Jerusalem, and may their God be with them.”

Ezra 1:2

In 539 B.C., the Persian King Cyrus took Babylon and allowed the Jews to return home and build their temple in Jerusalem. Upon conquering the Babylonian kingdom, he also gave glory to God. In the verse above, Cyrus proclaimed that it was God who opened the way for his successive victories and conquering the nations.

Prophecy

“This is what the Lord says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut: I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.

Isaiah 45:1-3

Indeed, the prophet Isaiah predicted King Cyrus as the one who will liberate the Jews from Babylonian captivity and allow them to return to their homeland.

History

After Babylon was taken captive by King Cyrus, this series of events were documented. We can find these records inscribed on the famed Cyrus Cylinder which currently resides in the British museum. Surprisingly, the prophet Isaiah spoke about these events even before the birth of King Cyrus.

Category Bible Study>Bible Study>Second Coming Christ The Sign of Jesus’ Second Coming

Two thousand years ago, Almighty God came to the earth as foretold in the Old Testament. God was born in the flesh as a baby; He was Jesus Christ. Those who believed in the prophecies of the Bible were able to identify Jesus as the savior. These people were able to receive salvation.

Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wroteJesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

John 1:45

Similarly, the Bible also tells us the sign by which we can recognise Jesus when He comes a second time.

Jesus’ Second Coming

However, after Jesus’ Ascension, the teachings of the New Covenant that He preached began to be changed and distorted— in AD 325, the truth of the Passover Jesus taught was completely abolished in the Council of Nicaea (For more information, please refer to article Weeds and Wheat). For this reason, the Bible prophesied that Jesus will come a second time to restore all the teachings He taught at His first coming and restore the truth to bring salvation.

so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Hebrews 9:28

How can we know the time of Jesus second coming? Jesus gave His disciples a specific sign to recognise His second coming.

The Sign of Jesus’ Second Coming

As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

Matthew 24:3

Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branches bud and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is near. In the same way, when you see all these things, you can know his return is very near, right at the door.

Matthew 24:32-33 (NLT)

When Jesus’s disciples asked about His second coming, Jesus taught His disciples to learn the lesson from the fig tree. When the fig tree blossoms, Jesus’ return is right at the door. This is the sign for us to recognise the time when He comes again. As fig trees blossom every year and there are so many fig trees in different places, the fig tree that Jesus referred to does not refer to physical fig trees. Its important to understand what the fig tree stands for because it is a sign to recognise Jesus’ coming again.

The Fig Tree Represents Israel

This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘Like these good figs, I regard as good the exiles from Judah, whom I sent away from this place to the land of the Babylonians.

Jeremiah 24:5

Judah was a place in Israel. God regarded the exiles from Judah as good figs. The fig tree represents the nation of Israel. Jesus also explained this through a parable.

Then he told this parable: “A man had a fig tree growing in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it but did not find any. So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, ‘For three years now I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’

Luke 13:6-7

The man in the parable was Jesus Himself. Just as the man looked for fruit on the fig tree for three years, Jesus too preached the gospel in Israel for three years. However, He did not find any fruit and said to cut down the fig tree. Jesus told a fact by using a parable. Biblically, the fig tree symbolizes Israel.

The Fall of Israel

As Israel rejected the gospel Jesus preached, Jesus told His disciples to cut it down. This was a prophecy about the fall of Israel. In another parable, Jesus directly prophesied about the fall of Israel.

When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

Luke 21:20-24

The Great Revolt, also known as the First Jewish-Roman War began in A.D. 66.1) This was one of the major rebellions held by the Jews against the Roman Empire. Due to the Roman and Jewish ethnic and religious differences, tensions between the two groups often lead to small revolts. This crisis escalated due to anti-taxation protests and Jewish attacks on Roman Citizens. In response, then Emperor Nero dispatched an army under the general Vespasian to restore order in A.D. 68.2) His son Titus was appointed as the second-in-command of the army. However, Emperor Nero died shortly after and Vespasian was appointed as the new emperor. Emperor Vespasian then appointed his son, Titus, to lead the army in the assault on Jerusalem once more. In A.D.70, Titus besieged and conquered the city of Jerusalem.3) Josephus, a Jewish Historian, claims that 1.1 million Jews were killed, with 97,000 Jews enslaved. Israel lost its sovereignty from then on. The Romans began to occupy Israel until A.D. 390, followed by Byzantine Rule (390-1099), Caliphates (634-1099), Crusades and Mongols (1099-1291), Mamluk rule (1291-1517), Ottoman rule (1517-1917), and British Mandate of Palestine (1920-1948).4)

The Restoration of Israel

They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

Luke 21:24

Jesus said “until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled”, implying that the time for the Gentiles (Gentiles refer to people who are not Israelites) would come to an end. According to this prophecy, the Israelites who had been wandering all over the world for about 1,900 years, returned and reclaimed their homeland. After World War II ended, Israel miraculously gained independence in 1948. The first Prime Minister of Israel, David Ben-Gurion, officially declared Israel an independent state in May 1948.

Believing in the prophecy written in the Bible (Jeremiah 30:7), the Jews who were scattered in the world began an organized religious and political movement. This was known as the Zionism movement, which began in the late 19th and early 20th century in Central and Eastern Europe.5) Theodor Herzl, the ideological father of Zionism, believed that only a separation could allow Jews to escape persecution and Antisemitism as Jews lived as minorities across Europe at that time. Their goal and purpose was to reestablish a Jewish homeland in Palestine (the previous location of Israel). In 1917, the British Government issued the Balfour Declaration, an announcement which promised British support for a creation of a Jewish national home in Palestine.6) Over the years, Jews began to migrate to the ancient holy land and built settlements. By 1933, the Jewish population in Palestine was estimated to be around 238,000. After World War II ended, the growth was exponential and finally Zionism achieved its aim of establishing a Jewish state in Palestine in 1948.

However, Jesus already foretold that the fig tree will blossom again. More importantly, Jesus said that the restoration of Israel was a sign and proclamation that His return was already at the door.

Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branches bud and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is near.In the same way, when you see all these things, you can know his return is very near, right at the door.

Matthew 24:32-33

“At the Door”

Jesus explained what we should do when He is at the door.

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

Revelation 3:20

When Jesus is at the door, the Bible explains that we should open the door of our hearts and be ready to receive Him again. From the time Israel was restored in 1948, everyone who wants to receive salvation should open the door of their hearts and be ready to receive Jesus again.

Christ Ahnsahnghong was baptized in 1948—the same year when Israel gained independence. He started to preach the gospel of the New Covenant and restored all the teachings that Jesus taught 2,000 years ago.

He restored the truth which leads to eternal life to bring salvation as prophesied in the Bible—the Passover of the New Covenant! (For more information, please refer to articles on the Passover). Finally, He established the World Mission Society Church of God which keeps the teachings of the New Covenant.

Please receive salvation by opening the door of your heart and be ready to receive Jesus again by studying the prophecies of the Bible in the World Mission Society Church of God!

The First Step in Our Life of Faith

… As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water…

Matthew 3:13-17

The first 4 gospels in the New Testament all showed that Jesus’ life of ministry began with baptism. Through His example, we can know that baptism should be the first step in our life of faith.

Let us take some time to understand about this important ceremony

Rebirth & New Life

Everyone living on this earth is destined to die due to our sins (Romans 6:23). 2,000 years ago, Jesus taught that the way to salvation and eternal life is to be born again with a new life.

Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”“How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!” Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.

John 3:3-5

Here, Jesus Himself made known to us the criteria to enter the kingdom of God, that is, to be born of water and of Spirit. This symbolizes baptism.

and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God.

1 Peter 3:21

Water is water, but the water used in baptism contains the promise of salvation. This makes the baptism ceremony a sign of salvation (Mark 16:16).

Additionally, baptism also contains a precious promise that we sinners must receive to be saved—the forgiveness of our sins.

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:38

Baptism is a turning point in our life when all our past sins and transgressions are forgiven and we start a new life (Romans 6:1-4), being born again as a child of God.

You were all baptized into Christ, and so you were all clothed with Christ. This means that you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 3:26-27 NCV

Timing of Baptism

Since baptism is such an important ceremony directly linked to our salvation, it makes it urgent as well and should not be delayed. Just as critically ill patients need to be administered with treatment as soon as possible, we should quickly be baptized lest we regret missing the chance for it. Regarding this, the Bible shows clearly how uncertain life can be, that we cannot even boast that we have a guaranteed “tomorrow”.

Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.

Proverbs 27:1

And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’“Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.” ’“But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’“This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”

Luke 12:16-21

Some may think that we should first have a deep understanding about God before we receive baptism. However, this is against the order established by God.

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ…

Ephesians 1:7-9

As written, we can receive all wisdom and understanding about Christ through the forgiveness of sins (which can be attained through baptism). Therefore, as long as one is willing to believe in God, he should first be baptized. Then, he continues to learn the words of God and grows in faith. The Bible also contains numerous examples of people receiving baptism as soon as they heard the news about Jesus (Acts 8:26-38, Acts 10:47-48, Acts 16:13-15, Acts 16:29-34).

Place and Conditions for Baptism

Is there a specific venue, time, or condition for baptism to be carried out? As we look at the acts of the Apostles, we can see that they baptize people regardless of place and conditions.

Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Go south to the road—the desert road—that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of the Kandake (which means “queen of the Ethiopians”). This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship, and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the Book of Isaiah the prophet. The Spirit told Philip, “Go to that chariot and stay near it.” Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. “Do you understand what you are reading?” Philip asked.“How can I,” he said, “unless someone explains it to me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him… The eunuch asked Philip, “Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?” Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus. As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, “Look, here is water. What can stand in the way of my being baptized?”And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him.

Acts 8:26-38

As Philip preached to the Ethiopian eunuch, the eunuch saw some water along the desert road and immediately, was baptized. In this situation, he could have delayed baptism and waited until they returned to his palace—at the comfort of his home, with clean water and clothes to change. However, Philip did not stop the Ethiopian eunuch at that time, but rather went into the water and baptized him immediately. Here is another record of baptism in the book of Acts.

The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his household were baptized. The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God—he and his whole household.

Acts 16:29-34

After all the prisoners fled the prison after an earthquake, the jailer in charge wanted to kill himself. However, Apostle Paul and Silas preached the word of God to the jailer, and at midnight, the jailer and his household were baptized. Instead of waiting until the next morning at daybreak to conduct baptism, baptism was conducted immediately, there and then.

How to Conduct Baptism

How should baptism be conducted? Before Jesus’ ascension 2,000 years ago, He specifically said that correct baptism must be conducted in the names of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…

Matthew 28:19

Jesus taught that baptism must be done in the name of the Savior. In the age of the Son, only baptisms in the name of Jesus were valid. For those who were baptized but not in the name of Jesus, they were told by Apostle Paul to re-baptize.

So Paul asked, “Then what baptism did you receive?”“John’s baptism,” they replied. Paul said, “John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.” On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Acts 19:3-5

Right now, we are no longer living in the age of the Son, but the age of the Holy Spirit. What baptism is valid for our age? Now, it is imperative that we receive baptism in 3 names—the name of the Father—Jehovah, the name of the Son—Jesus, and most importantly, the name of the Holy Spirit.

Baptism is not merely a ritual, but it is a regulation that contains God’s promise. We can be saved when we are baptized according to God’s commandments.

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved…

Category Bible Study>Bible Study>Christian Essentials Weeds and Wheat

When you purchase an item, can you tell whether it is genuine or fake? Nowadays, we see many inauthentic items which may be made so well that they look really similar to genuine items. Nonetheless, there must be certain tell-tale signs through which we can clearly identify them.

2,000 years ago, Jesus came to this earth and planted the truth of life for our salvation. However, through His teaching given in the parable of the weeds, He made known to us that false teachings which look very similar to the truth will appear after His ascension. What is important in all these is that we must have the ability to distinguish between the two.

Let us first take a look at the parable of the weeds spoken by Jesus.

The Parable of the Weeds

Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.  But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.  “The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’ “‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’  “‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’”

Matthew 13:24-30

Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.” He answered, “The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one, and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. “As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil (commit lawlessness, NASB). They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 13:36-42

Jesus came to this earth to sow the good seeds, which is the word of God (Luke 8:11). However, the devil attempted to hinder God’s work by sowing weeds, lawlessness.

Not only similar sounding, but similar looking as well

Both weeds and wheat look so similar to each other, and that was why the farmer told the workers not to pull the weeds up, for fear of any wheat being hurt in the process.

… while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them…

Matthew 13:29

Field filled with weeds

As both seeds were left in the field, the field soon became filled with the weeds which have stronger life power. This prophecy shows clearly that, after the truth of life was sown, lawlessness, which looks very similar to the truth, will fill the whole earth.Did You Know A Plant in the wrong place

Known as “a plant in the wrong place”, weeds are plants that grow in places where they are not wanted. They have the ability to grow anywhere there is room. Weeds are highly prolific, with the ability to produce 10,000 to over 100,000 seeds. Their seeds are adapted to spread and can remain dormant for decades before they grow (waiting for the right conditions occur). They are persistent, pernicious and are able to germinate, grow and propagate fast.

Two different destinies

As the prophecy shows, at the end of the age, the result of both seeds are vastly different: those practising wheat-like truth will be brought into the heavenly barn, while those keeping weed-like falsehood will be thrown into the fiery furnace.

It is, thus, vital to be able to distinguish between the two.

Distinguishing Wheat from Weeds

By specifying in the parable that both weeds and wheat look very similar, we can know one thing for fact: we cannot distinguish between truth and falsehood by mere outer appearances.

How are we able to identify wheat from weeds then? In order to do so, we need to go back to the time before the weeds were sown. At that time, only pure truth existed.

built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.

Ephesians 2:20

Our faith should be built on the foundation of Jesus and the apostles. It is because what was sown by them at that time was purely the wheat-like truth. Then, what were the perfect truths taught by Jesus before lawlessness was sown?

Sabbath

One of the basic duties of a Christian is to attend church and worship God. However, on which day should we worship God? The example which Jesus and the apostles set for us was on Sabbath day—Saturday.

He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read,

Luke 4:16

As was his custom, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures,

Acts 17:2

According to the prophecy of the weeds, after the age of Jesus and the apostles, similar-looking weeds would appear. In fulfillment, in A.D. 321, the Sabbath was abolished and Sunday Service was instituted instead. With only a day’s difference between the two, Sabbath and Sunday look very similar indeed.

The Passover

Before Jesus was crucified on the cross, He established the New Covenant Passover to bless us with eternal life (John 6:53-54).

… the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?” He replied… I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’” So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover…

Matthew 26:17-19, 26-28

This feast of life was to be celebrated annually (Leviticus 23:4-5), and even after Jesus’ ascension, Apostle Paul observed it as well (1 Corinthians 5:7-8). However, this feast was abolished in A.D. 325 and weeds began to appear. In replacement of the Passover, Easter was instituted. Later, a similar bread and wine ceremony—Holy Communion was also introduced. Christmas was also sown in A.D. 354 and is regarded as the one of the “biggest annual event” in Christianity.

Feasts of God

Besides the Passover, Jesus and His disciples also observed the Day of Pentecost and the Feast of Tabernacles.

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.

Acts 2:1

But when the Jewish Festival of Tabernacles was near… Not until halfway through the festival did Jesus go up to the temple courts and begin to teach…On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink… By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive…

John 7:2, 14, 37-39

The Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Day of Pentecost, and the Feast of Tabernacles are known as the seven feasts in three times (Leviticus 23). After the abolishment of the Passover, the rest of the seven feasts also disappeared subsequently.

Propriety in Worship

Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ… Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonours his head. But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonours her head—it is the same as having her head shaved… she should cover her head.

1 Corinthians 11:1-6

Over here, Apostle Paul was writing about a teaching that came from Christ, that is, women should cover their heads when they pray or worship God. However, over time, this regulation was lost.

At the Harvest

Wheat may look weak and small, whereas weeds which are adapted to propagate fast may grow strong and large in numbers. Nonetheless, ultimately, what the farmer wants are the wheat during the harvest. As Jesus mentioned only those who do the will of God are able to enter the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 7:21), let us follow the will of God, obeying all the commandments and enter the heavenly barn!
